Dr. Heather Trajano receives Killam Faculty Research Fellowship

Dr. Heather Trajano, professor in the department of Chemical and Biological Engineering has been honoured with the 2018 Killam Faculty Research Fellowship. This award assists promising faculty members who wish to devote full time to research and study in their field during a recognized study leave, and comprises a maximum award of $15,000 for a 12-month period.  The Killam annual reception takes place this April.

This Killam Faculty Fellowship enables Heather to pursue her research interests in Finland at the at Åbo Akademi University. Heather will collaborate with researchers there in the next big opportunity in biorefining, use of solid catalysts to transform wood. Heather also received an Åbo Akademi University Research Mobility Program grant to support her leave.
