Canfor Pulp Grants Program

As part of a ceremony opening the new Canfor Pulp Innovation Centre in Burnaby, BC, Canfor Pulp announced a new research grant program in collaboration with the University of British Columbia and the University of Northern British Columbia that will provide a total of $225,000 over the next three years to university faculty for novel pulp and paper research projects

This is a tremendous link to the largest producer of market kraft pulp in British Columbia, and will directly support student research aimed at serving the needs of current and future industry.  We encourage you to take advantage of this exclusive grants opportunity.

Applications are now being invited for the first round of grants.

In the first year, two awards of $25,000 per year for three years will be made, one to each university.  Thereafter, there will be a competition each year for one $25,000 grant per year for three years based on the best proposal from either university. This may be increased to a second yearly grant depending on the success of the program.
